GENERAL

DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

We have onsite parking, however, If our car park is full then public parking is available in the following areas:

Market Square - Two hour time restriction between 9am and 6pm. No restrictions after 6pm.

DO YOU ALLOW DOGS?

Well behaved dogs are welcome in our garden and bar areas. If booking online and bringing a dog, please just add a note in the special request box letting us know you require a dog friendly table. If your dog becomes unsettled or noisy we ask that you respond to this behaviour, removing your dog if necessary, and consider other guests enjoyment.

IS THERE DISABLED ACCESS?

The Coach House is a listed building and therefore not all alterations are possible. Currently we have ‘nearly level’ access both front and rear and ‘nearly level’ floors inside the building. Unfortunately, we currently do not have accessible toilet facilities. Our toilets are quite compact and accessed via a step. (This is something we hope to change in the future so we are accessible to all)

WI-FI

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and outside areas. Connection info is displayed around the building, if you can’t see it please ask one of the team.

E-CIGARETTES

For the comfort of all our guests we do not allow the use of electronic cigarettes within our premises. Although we realise that the fumes are just vapours and non harmful this is not clearly understood by everyone and can lead to confusion for others. Also these vapours can carry various different smells. Therefore, to prevent this, we request that guests do not use these products in our premises.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Do I have to book?

No, if you want to be spontaneous and join us for some food or just drinks, please pop in and we will always do our best to accommodate you. However, to avoid disappointment we recommend booking in advance.

HOW DO I BOOK A TABLE?

You can book online on our website, or by giving us a call (subject to availability, of course)

HOW DO I CHANGE THE DATE/TIME OF MY ONLINE BOOKING?

On your confirmation email for your booking, you’ll find a link to your Personal Booking Portal where you can make changes. Alternatively, you can give us a call. If you’re running a bit late don’t worry, we always hold table bookings for 15 minutes.

HOW DO I CANCEL AN ONLINE BOOKING?

To cancel an online booking just click on the link in your booking confirmation email and follow the steps. Please try to give us as much notice as possible.

HOW LONG WILL I HAVE MY TABLE FOR?

All table bookings will be allocated a minimum of 2 hours.  Please check your booking confirmation for your table time or ask our team. However, if your table isn’t reserved following your booking, you are of course more than welcome to stay.

CAN I WALK UP TO THE BAR TO PLACE MY ORDER?

We provide table service for food and drink orders throughout the building, however, if you wish to place your order at the bar yourself you are welcome to do so. If you are sitting in the garden or on the pavement you will need to order at the bar.

Please ask one of the team to see our allergen information, Alternativley, please email us to request our allergy information and we will email you a copy ahead of your visit.

DO YOU HAVE A GLUTEN FREE MENU?

Yes, Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan menus can be found on our website.

OUR BOOKING IS FOR A CELEBRATION, CAN I BRING DECORATIONS?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring balloons etc to decorate your table, however, we do not allow table confetti, or for anything to be fixed to our walls.

CAN I BRING A BIRTHDAY CAKE?

Yes, you’re more than welcome to bring your own cake. Please do also bring your own candles as we can’t guarantee we will have any in our venue.

ARE YOUR TABLES IN THE GARDEN COVERED?

Only a handful of our tables in the garden are covered. If you request to sit outside when making a reservation we cannot guarantee that it will be a covered table or that there will be a table available inside if the weather changes or you want to move.

ALCOHOL AND ID

Guests who look under the age of 25 will be asked for identification. Only the following will be accepted:

  • International passport
  • UK or European Union photo-card driving licence (full or provisional)
  • Proof of age card with 'PASS' accredited hologram

Our Challenge 25 scheme is firmly embedded within the Company. In line with police guidance, our team is fully trained to recognise and accept the above forms of ID.

NB. By law it is an offence to sell alcohol to a person aged under 18. Anyone under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. As a retailer of alcohol, we are mindful of our duty of care to our customers, staff and the wider community. It is therefore The Coach House Company policy not to allow under 18s to consume alcohol on our premises under any circumstances.

WHAT TIME IS BREAKFAST SERVED?

The most important meal of the day, so they say, is served 7 days a week:
Monday - Friday 07:00 - 09:00am
Saturday & Sunday 08:00 - 10:00am

CAN I PAY FOR AN EARLY ARRIVAL OR LATE CHECK OUT?

Yes, we can offer earlier check-in from midday or Late-check out until midday. Both are subject to availability and will incur an additional cost. Please speak to the team.

DOES THE ROOM HAVE A BATH OR SHOWER?

Some of our rooms do have bath’s in them but unfortunately this is not standard across all our hotel rooms. All rooms have walk in showers

CAN I BRING MY OWN COT?

Yes, however it may not fit in the room you have booked so its important you speak to the reservations team before arrival. We have travel cots available, but please let us know in advance if you need one. You may have to upgrade to a bigger room to allow space for a cot.

ARE THERE ANY ROOMS THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE 3 ADULTS?

No, all of our rooms are suitable for two adults maximum, with the exception of the single room. Some rooms can also accommodate
children (12 years and under)

WHAT DO I DO IF THERE IS NO AVAILABILITY LEFT ONLINE?

If our website is currently stating that we have no availability, but you’d really like to stay on those dates please get in touch (hello@coachhousepotton.co.uk) and we would be happy to contact you if anything changes

GIFT CARDS

Vouchers are available to redeem against food, beverage & accommodation at The Coach House. These are only available to purchase online via our website www.coachhousepotton.co.uk and are delivered via email as an eGift card, or a physical voucher through the post for a small delivery fee. For an immediate physical version we recommend you email the voucher to yourself to print out and add to a card.

Vouchers can be credited with any amount from as little as £1 up to £500 and you can order multiple gift cards in one transaction.

To redeem / spend a voucher just show the voucher (either printed or on a smartphone/device), which will contain a unique code & QR code, to your server who will redeem it for you.

  1. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  2. Gift cards may not be exchanged for cash.
  3. No change will be given. Any unspent value will remain on the card and eventually be forfeited once the card expires.
  4. We will not be held liable for lost or stolen cards - Protect this as you would cash

  6. Gift cards are valid if they are presented on a smartphone or a paper version printed out.
  7. If our systems reject the unique code or claims it has already been redeemed then the gift card will not be accepted and no alternative discount will be made to the bill. Only in very special circumstances may we investigate this further.
